DISCUSSION ITEMS
Physical Facilities – Phil Williams.
Phil Williams reported on the projects in the District. He said
the Horizon Elementary walk through went well. The plan is to
start moving in on Friday. Brent reported that the contract with
the State and the Risk Management Office has not been received.
Desert Hills High and Sunrise Ridge should be ready to move in on time,
although it will be close to the deadline. Phil suggested moving
contract dates up in the future to help give some lead-time if problems
occur. The pre-school slabs have been poured on two
buildings. The Washington location is still being delayed by city
due to building permits. Phil mentioned county survey issues at
the new library in Washington. He reported that the survey was 15
feet over the School District property. Phil also checked on the
ball park and said it is the smallest park. He reported
that the Maintenance Building tilts are in progress, the design for a
new Hurricane Elementary is being done, and the Snow Canyon High School
addition is also in the works.
